Special Admission Cases

Non-Degree

At The W, we want to meet you where you are in your academic journey.  If you do not meet our regular freshman or transfer admissions requirements, or you are just looking to take a course or two without earning a degree, we have several options for you.

Adult Learner

If you do not meet our regular freshman or transfer admissions requirements, but you would like to enroll, you can enroll as an Adult Learner. To qualify as an adult learner here at The W, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be over the age of 21
  • Fail to meet The W’s freshman or transfer admissions requirements after submission of official transcripts

By agreeing to enter The W as a non-degree seeking student, students understand that they will not be able to declare a major until they have successfully completed 12 hours of courses in The W’s General Education Curriculum with a 2.0 GPA. They also may not receive any university or federal and state aid during this period. [See non-degree admissions requirements]
