Dealing with DiversityCOLUMBUS, Miss. -- The Office of Career Services, in collaboration with Wal-Mart and Associates, will be hosting a management diversity training event on the campus of Mississippi University for Women Thursday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Nissan Auditorium, Parkinson Hall. The theme for this event is "Dealing with Diversity."

 

The session topics will be leadership, education and women in the workforce. Guest speakers include:

  • Dr. Bridget Pieschel, professor of English and director of Women's Studies, “Women in the Workforce,” Cochran Hall Room 303, 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. to noon
  • Dr. Kate Brown, director of the Center for Creative Learning, “Diversity as it relates to Education,” Claudia A. Limbert Assembly Room, 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. to noon
  • Attorney Monique Montgomery, Montgomery Law Firm, LLC, “Diversity in Leadership,” Nissan Auditorium, 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.

 

The Office of Career Services invites students, faculty, staff, local businesses and the community to take part in this informative event.
