COLUMBUS, Miss. - The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning approved three new tuition structures today [May 17] for Mississippi University for Women.

The new structures include one-rate tuition for in-state and out-of-state students, flat-rate RN-to-BSN tuition and the flat-rate Masters of Business Administration (MBA) tuition. They become effective fall 2018.

In the fall, The W will no longer charge out-of-state fees, regardless of residency, as part of the one-rate tuition. The introduction of the flat-rate RN-to-BSN tuition and flat-rate MBA, both 100 percent online, will enable students to complete each program for $10,000.

The new simplified tuition structures help students and their families understand the cost of attending the university and make The W even more competitive in a changing educational environment.

"Students continue to be at the heart of all we do at The W, which also includes access, affordability and completion, all in a highly personalized learning environment," said W President Jim Borsig.

The W continues to offer one of the lowest tuitions in the Southeast region.

The RN-to-BSN program is the perfect option for working nurses, who are looking to advance their education, expand their career options and enhance their leadership and critical thinking skills. The program is also known for its dedicated and highly qualified faculty who work closely with students. Details about the program are available at http://www.muw.edu/rntobsn

The new flat-rate for The W's MBA will make it one of the most affordable in the region. The 36-hour degree program is ideal for working professionals seeking to advance within their organizations or recent graduates in any program who wish to distinguish themselves on the job market.
