COLUMBUS, Miss. -- On Tuesday, June 19 at 7:30 p.m., the Mid-South chapter of the National Association of Composers, USA, will present a recital of new music. The event will take place in the Connie Sills Kossen Auditorium, Poindexter Hall, on The W’s campus.

Composers from Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia will have their music presented.

The concert will feature works by composers Dr. Rick Montalto, professor emeritus at The W; Dr. Joe L. Alexander, The W; Dr. Alan Goldspiel, University of Montevallo; Dr. David Peoples, University of North Georgia; Dr. William Price, University of Alabama at Birmingham; and Ken Davies from Gautier.

Performers include Alexander, tuba; Davies, trombone; Goldspiel, guitar; Diana Peoples, piano; and Brittany White, horn. There will also be several pieces for sound file. 

The concert is free and open to the public.
