Taylor-Gathings and McDavisCOLUMBUS, Miss. –Kimberly Taylor-Gathings, coordinator of student retention at The W, and Rosamund (Claudia) McDavis, coordinator of student success, both a part of the Center for Academic Excellence, will present “Retaining and Regaining: Effective Programs for Probation and Suspension Students” at the Noel Levitz National Conference on Student Recruitment, Marketing, and Retention July 16-18 in New Orleans.

The presentation will focus on programs at The W that promote student engagement, faculty-led student development and campus wide workshops. Through assessment with scholarly peer-reviewed instructional material and effective university programing, students in The W’s program are tracked and receive support that promotes academic success.

Taylor-Gathings said, “The Noel Levitz Conference is a wonderful opportunity for universities to attend. The conference grants universities the opportunity to collaborate and learn current trends in recruitment, marketing and retention that can benefit their university.”

McDavis added, “We are excited to let others know about what The W has to offer. The services at the CAE enhance our students’ abilities to strive and succeed."

The National Conference on Student Recruitment, Marketing, and Retention is the most comprehensive conference on enrollment management. Each year, presenters share successful strategies, new technologies and campus programs that can be adapted to their own institution. More than 120 sessions will address topics such as: Strategic enrollment planning, Admissions, Student success, financial aid and much more.
