In a sense, serving as a college president is like being a long-term guest, and one that carries the responsibility to know when it’s time to leave. Since this job doesn’t come with an expiration date or a win-loss record, it’s up to the president to know when it’s time.

Berglund, Malone participate in Project Forecast

At the beginning of last semester, Dr. Kimberly Shackelford, director of the Child Advocacy Centers (CAC) of Mississippi, and Child Advocacy Studies Training (CAST) for Mississippi invited the Mississippi universities implementing CAST and the local CACs to apply to participate in Project Forecast. KatyMay Malone and Dorothy Berglund, in partnership with faculty from the Mississippi State University Family Science/Extension and Counseling Psychology, and Sally Kate Winters and other community partners developed an application to be accepted as a learning community in Project Forecast.

New tax law, W-2 form information

Federal withholding tax changes related to the tax reform law enacted at the end of December will be effective with your next MUW paycheck. No new withholding form is needed. After payday, please review your check stub to make sure you are having the correct amount of tax deducted.

Dr. Erin Kempker, chair of the Department of History, Political Science, and Geography, and Lisa Shrestha, senior biology student, will represent Mississippi University for Women at the Higher Education Appreciation Day, Working for Academic Excellence (HEADWAE) Appreciation Day in Jackson.
