The management concentration is designed to train administrators to effectively pull people and projects together. Managers are members of the team who organize, lead, and oversee a company and its people. They work to establish the organization's goals and ensure the business is running smoothly and thriving. It is their job to guarantee that tasks are completed, and goals are met.
Business managers typically put strategic plans in place and often serve as the face of a company in public. Students in the management concentration gain knowledge about human behaviors that exist in an organizational setting, develop strategic planning skills, learn how to motivate and influence others, and train to become a leader in the modern business world.
The degree is applicable in every sector of the economy, since neither a for-profit company nor a nonprofit organization can survive long without competent management. If you enjoy a people-oriented career and the challenge of making decisions that impact the success of a business, this is the concentration for you.
BAS or BBA
This concentration is available to students in the BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) and the BAS (Bachelor of Applied Science) degree programs.
Flexible Program
The Junior and Senior years of this concentration can be completed on campus or entirely online.

Accelerated Bachelor’s/MBA
In the Accelerated Bachelor/MBA Program, you will take undergraduate and graduate classes at the same time, substituting some required undergraduate classes with MBA classes. You can take up to 12 of the 36 hours required for the MBA early.

General Education Curriculum

Bachelor of Applied Science Requirements
A student who holds a completed A.A.S. or other approved technical Associate’s degree may transfer 40 semester hours of approved career and technical credit. Career and technical coursework may only be applied to a Bachelor of Applied Science degree.
