Dr. Hodges received her Ed.D., Ed.S., M.Ed., and B.A.in Ed. degrees from the University of Mississippi. She holds Gifted Education and Reading Literacy certificates and holds 7th-12th endorsements in English and Mathematics.
Dr. Hodges has been an educator for 20 years. During her K-12th teaching experience, Dr. Hodges was a 2nd-grade teacher and a Special Populations Teacher in grades 10th through 12th in Tupelo Public School District, and she was a Gifted Education and Remedial Reading teacher in grades 2nd through 8th in Madison County School District. In the fall of 2008, Dr. Hodges transitioned to higher education and began teaching at the college level. For five years at the University of Mississippi Tupelo Campus, Dr. Hodges taught courses in the B.A. in Elementary Education Program and was a University Supervisor of teacher interns in Tupelo Public, Pontotoc County, Itawamba County, and Lee County school districts. In 2013, Dr. Hodges devoted her work full-time to The W. From the summer of 2013 to the spring of 2022, Dr. Hodges taught, supervised, and advised undergraduate students in the Elementary Education Program and graduate students in the Master of Education Program with an emphasis in Reading Literacy and in Gifted Studies. At the end of the 2021-2022 academic year, Dr. Hodges accepted the position as Coordinator of the new Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum & Instruction Program and currently teaches and advises M.Ed. graduate students.
In addition to spending time with her family, Dr. Hodges enjoys decorating, traveling, teaching Bible classes, and promoting a love of reading and writing.
