Dr. Mahoney serves as a University Supervisor, mentoring and supervising teacher interns. She also serves on the ICS-Head Start Board of Directors, managing Head Start and Early Head Start programs in 14 counties.

Dr. Mahoney crochets in her spare time and sells her crafts at the Columbus Hitching Lot Farmer's Market.
