Ina E. Gordy Honors College

Make your mark in the Honors College,

where intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and responsible citizenship
are at the core of the academic experience.

The Honors College offers academic community in honors courses and beyond,
opportunities to work closely with faculty across campus, and hands-on, real-world experiences that matter,
including independent research and study abroad.

Qualified students who successfully complete the Honors requirements graduate with honors in their major area of study.

Four-Year Students

GroupFour-year students begin their honors experience the moment they arrive on campus, whether learning from peer mentors, taking honors sections of courses, developing early mentoring relationships with faculty, or participating in our residential program. By the time they graduate with honors in their major area of study, students have also had a range of hands-on learning experiences, from study abroad to service learning, and have performed and presented their own research.

Transfer Students

GraduationAs soon as they arrive at The W, transfer students can plug into our community of other highly motivated students, explore honors classes that complement their majors or consider study abroad/away, and develop strong relationships with faculty. This sets them on course to complete their own original research, take advantage of pre-professional and leadership development opportunitites offered by the Honors College, and graduate on time with honors.
