Honors College Admissions
Students receiving The W's two highest levels of scholarship, the Centennial and the Honors Awards, participate in the Gordy Honors Residential Program, including Study Abroad in the summer after the sophomore year, and complete the Four-Year Honors Curriculum. When students apply to The W, they are notified if they qualify for these competitive scholarships and are invited to interview.

Other Freshmen
Other entering freshmen may apply for admission with a minimum ACT score of 24 or SAT score of 1090.
After completing at least one semester at MUW, students may apply to enter the Honors College on the basis of a GPA of 3.4 or above. No student will be admitted after the sophomore year.
To apply, send the following to the Director of the Gordy Honors College:
• honors application available at Honors College Forms
• at least one letter of recommendation from an individual who can speak to the student’s academic record and ability to complete an honors curriculum
Accepted students complete the Four-Year Honors Curriculum.
Other Transfer Students
Transfer students may apply to enter the Honors College on the basis of a GPA of 3.4 or above. Only transfer students may enter the Honors College after the sophomore year. No student may enter in the senior year.
To apply, send the following to the Director of the Gordy Honors College:

• at least one letter of support from an individual who can speak to the student’s academic record and ability to complete an honors curriculum

Accepted transfer students complete the Transfer Honors Curriculum.
