Columbus, MS.-- Sodexo, the food services and facilities management company committed to improving quality of life, has announced Matthew Molina as interim general manager chef and Rachel Pitman as executive chef of MUW Dining Services, effective immediately.

“Cooking for and serving the students and faculty as the executive chef for MUW Dining for the past two years has been a wonderful experience. As the interim general manager, I will continue to build a solid and strong dining experience for our W family. MUW Dining is ready and prepared to continue creating magical dining events for years to come,” said Molina.

Chef Molina earned a culinary degree from Texas Culinary Academy – Le Cordon Bleu in Austin, Texas, and then had the honor of working under a classically French-trained chef for many years. With more than 20 years of experience, Chef Molina has served as a sous chef, executive chef, culinary instructor and manager in kitchen construction and organization in new restaurants and high-end grocery store chains.

The face behind most of our exquisite desserts and pastries at The W for the past two years, Pitman will continue to offer southern comfort dishes and international flavors to The W community.

Pitman said, "I am looking forward to continuing our excellence in service and food quality standards here at The W and providing all of our students with a wonderful MUW Dining experience."

Over the past year, Pitman has served as the sous chef in addition to catering manager for MUW Dining Services. Pitman earned her bachelor’s degree in culinary arts in 2009 from The W and has 15 years of culinary experience in restaurants and baking.

Located in Hogarth Dining Hall on the campus of Mississippi University for Women, MUW Dining Services offers a diverse selection of choices — from hamburgers, crafted sandwiches, and pizza to freshly prepared plates of pasta and soups. The newly renovated dining facility offers multiple dining platforms across 10 stations in a buffet-style environment, with each station featuring a rotating menu of local and international cuisine.

MUW Dining Services takes every precaution to deliver safe, high-quality food in a carefully controlled environment. Safeguarding the health and well-being of every member of the campus community is the highest priority.
