B.S. in Kinesiology - Exercise Science

 

Careers

The B.S. degree in Kinesiology-Exercise Science prepares students to work in many different settings including clinical and non-clinical settings.  Clinical settings include hospitals, physical therapy clinics, cardiac or pulmonary rehabilitation programs among others.  Non-clinical settings include health-clubs, YMCAs, corporate fitness centers, and recreation centers.  Some of the current job opportunities available in Exercise Science can be reviewed at the links below.

 

Professional Organizations

Two of the leading professional organizations for exercise science/physiology are the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the American Society of Exercise Physiologists (ASEP). Both of these organizations provide excellent certifications that enhance the credentials for anyone in the field. Other organizations that provide credentialing and oversight of the field in different settings are also presented below.
