Pre-Occupational Therapy

Walking Track, Pohl BuildingOccupational Therapists work with individuals whose lives have been impaired by physical, psychological, or developmental problems.

The Pre-Occupational Therapy (OT) program is a non-degree program that includes the courses required for admission to the OT School at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC).

The curriculum includes approximately sixty hours of courses commonly found in university general education requirements. Although the curriculum was developed for application to UMMC, students may apply to other OT schools as well.

Faculty in the Department of Health and Kinesiology guide students through the OT school application process.
