Glen Halbert is a Columbus, MS native and a member of the Long Blue Line. He started his professional career at The W in August 2015, and later became a member of the Campus Recreation team in October 2016 as Assistant Director of Facilities Operations. In his down time Glen enjoys listening to music, reading, writing, and competing with his Intramural Sports team 20 Years Later. Glen believes that recreation is essential and that everyone can live a happier life by answering one simple question: How do you rec?

Melissa Parsons is a native of Ventura, California but has been making roots in the Columbus, MS area since November 1994. She has been in the fitness industry since she graduated from high school in 1988 and held a long career at the Frank P. Phillips Memorial YMCA from 1997-2015. Melissa is also a Personal Trainer and a Group Fitness Instructor, which is how she first came to be employed by Stark Recreation Center. She currently teaches a foam rolling class as well as POUND® Rockout. Workout., a fitness trend that she helped spearhead to come to Columbus, MS. She loves her role at Stark Recreation Center because it gives her the best of both worlds. She gets to tap into her nerdy side while dealing with numbers and memberships, yet continues to make a difference in the fitness world.
