COLUMBUS, Miss. — The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference President’s Council officially announced today the acceptance of Mississippi University for Women as a full co-educational member institution beginning in the 2022-2023 academic year.
From their earliest days on campus, they were drawn to the stunning personality of Angela Thompson (class of 1999), the small-town girl from North Jackson County, Alabama, with the dancing brown eyes and the 200-watt smile.
In 1999 Bebe Roberts Freeman, a 1965 W graduate, and her husband Harry established the Bebe Roberts Freeman Education Scholarship. To date the scholarship has been awarded to 14 students who continue her legacy and passion for education.
Perian Conerly's Eyes always sparkled when she told stories, as she so often did. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out, and a natural storyteller possessing plenty of material to tell. She also could write, and write well, and we will get to that.

The annual B.L.U.E. (Builiding Leadership Understanding and Education) networking and mentoring event, hosted by the Mississippi University for Women Alumni Association, brought students, alumni and staff together on Feb. 4. This year’s event was re-designed as a virtual experience that featured speed networking, a keynote speaker and a diverse panel of alumni. The program was designed to facilitate ongoing education and to create connections between alumni, students, faculty and community members.
