Serving as chairman of the MUW Foundation’s Board of Directors continues to be an honor for me as I look ahead at the bright future Mississippi University for Women has before it. With the inauguration of President Nora Miller earlier this year, we are writing a new chapter in the institution’s history. Our extended family of alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends is what makes our university such a special and welcoming place brimming with possibilities.

Private support from donors like us is critical to advancing The W’s mission to provide a high-quality education in a personalized learning environment. Our student-centered approach and commitment to teaching and learning inside and outside the classroom is what makes a difference in thousands of students’ lives.

Our gifts in support of scholarships, teaching, career preparation, extracurricular programming, and personal growth opportunities make a direct impact on our students’ success. We appreciate your continued contributions that allow The W to excel in preparing students for their futures.

The MUW Foundation recognizes and appreciates the confidence our donors have in our work to help support the institution. Our board members are committed both to the university’s goals and to the MUW Foundation’s goals in support of the university. Working together, we reap greater rewards year after year, and it is our students who benefit from our efforts.

My passion for giving is based on my own personal journey to The W made possible by an academic scholarship. Several oftstated sentiments come to mind as I pen this letter, all of which I would say to you personally, if we were having a cup of coffee….
