HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * This severe thunderstorm will be near... Columbus AFB and Waverly around 520 PM CDT. Tibbee around 525 PM CDT. Columbus around 545 PM CDT. Bent Oak around 550 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Artesia.

EVENT: High Wind Warning
ALERT:
* WHAT...South winds sustained 25 to 35 mph with widespread gusts to 55 mph expected. Isolated gusts up to 60mph. These winds will occur before the arrival of thunderstorms. * WHERE...Portions of northeast Louisiana, central and south Mississippi and southeast Arkansas * WHEN...From 8 AM this morning to 7 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
INSTRUCTIONS:
People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. Winds of this magnitude can bring down trees and power lines causing serious injury and property damage. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive. Winds this strong will make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Secure outdoor objects.
