Ashley M. Jones returns to the symposium with her third collection of poetry Reparations Now! Her two previous collections are dark // thing and Magic City Gospel. Jones serves as the poet laureate of Alabama, the first Black poet to be awarded this honor. She is also a teacher at the Alabama School for the Arts in her native Birmingham.
