Update February 22, 2022- President Nora Miller has released a video message to the university.

As announced by our Campus Renewal Task Force, effective Feb. 22, The W will require face coverings only in instructional spaces and healthcare settings. A space (e.g. classroom, laboratory, studio, conference room, auditorium) is to be considered as an instructional setting when classes are actively taking place in that space.

Some people may wish to continue wearing a mask in other settings, and may request that you wear a mask while in their office or workspace.  Please be considerate of their wishes – they may have a compromised immune system or underlying condition that makes them more susceptible to severe illness – or someone they are close to may be in this situation.

Our best defense against serious effects of COVID is to be fully vaccinated.  Vaccinations and booster shots are available in the Campus Health Center.

Many thanks to our Campus Renewal Task Force, to Dr. Tammie McCoy and our Campus Health Center for their hard work and leadership – and thanks to all of you for your cooperation and your consideration of others.

It is great to see smiles outside of Zoom screens!
