Campus Update: Coronavirus COVID-19

Based on the latest CDC assessment, Lowndes County's Covid-19 community level is classified as low. As such, Mississippi University for Women will be updating face covering guidance to reflect the prevention behavior recommendations of the CDC.

Effective March 1st, indoor spaces, including classrooms, will be mask optional. Masks will continued to be required in healthcare settings.

Masking will continue to be encouraged, and those wishing to mask will continue to be supported. Employees may request masks be worn in private offices, and personal protective equipment remains available to campus.

The Campus Renewal Task Force will continue to monitor the public health situation and respond in a manner that supports the university's mission and the safety of the campus community.
