"I don't know if it was really my decision to integrate The W, so much as it was just to go to a school that was close to home. The fees were very low, and I could afford it. And the school was right down the street from where I lived, so there was no reason why I shouldn't go to that particular school. So that was it. It wasn't really just to call attention to integration or anything, or the fact that no one had gone before. It was just that this was a school close to home, and I decided I wanted to go."
