Desegregation of Social Clubs

Social clubs function similarly to sororities in promoting and strengthening the bonds of sisterhood among the members.  Unlike sororities, the social clubs exist only at The W and through the alumni network.  After desegregation, social clubs on campus were slow to accept black members.
